Classic designs, on a more human scale than those operated by global cruise businesses, with a friendlier atmosphere on board. Sailing on a smaller ship doesn’t mean you’ll have less room though; in fact you may be pleasantly surprised by how spacious and open Fred. Olsen ships feel. On board you’ll find everything you might want to truly create a holiday to remember. As well as bars, restaurants, lounges and shops, there are swimming pools, Jacuzzis, a salon, a library, and The Bookmark Café – a speciality coffee and chocolate shop. And of course, each room has all the facilities you’ll need to enjoy your holiday in total comfort. With each ship holding between 804 and 1,350 passengers, it’s easy to find a place to relax, put your feet up and enjoy a drink or a good book. There’s room to stretch out by the pool; you can step ashore faster; and you won’t be joining a queue of thousands to get into the buffet. The whole experience is so much more relaxed. By far the best benefit of fewer people is you’ll get to know the fellow guests you’re sharing your journey of discovery with – seeing the world is so much more rewarding if it’s shared with like-minded companions. But that doesn’t mean we rest on our laurels. Our programme of continuous improvement ensures our ships have everything you could want on board, while retaining the timeless style for which they’re known and loved. Step aboard and you’ll feel at home right away. For details of the facilities on each ship, please refer to the table below, or turn to pages 250-257 for deck plans.
