Experience it for yourself on a visit to a local family in their home. You’ll also be shown the Greenlandic national dress, a unique costume that takes hundreds of hours to create. Cruising Lichtenau Fjord Marvel at the untouched landscapes that surround the Lichtenau Fjord, including the historic ruins of Alluitsoq – formerly Greenland’s largest permanent settlement. Cruising Tasermiut Fjord The majestic Tasermiut Fjord – a popular haven for kayakers, trekkers and hikers alike – is home to rugged mountains, rock faces, glaciers and icebergs. Nature-lovers can delight in potential sightings of wild foxes and Arctic hares on the shores, as well as eagles swooping down from above. Nanortalik, Greenland Nanortalik sits on a small island at the end of a delightful fjord, surrounded by rugged, mountainous scenery and in glorious isolation. This most southerly town in Greenland has a well-preserved historic quarter. Far removed from the modern districts of the area, this colourful tapestry of colonial structures acts like an open-air museum, waiting to be explored. Tasiilaq, Greenland The towering mountains and impressive icebergs of the eastern side of Greenland make Tasiilaq’s surroundings as dramatic as it gets. Discover interesting artefacts at the Tasiilaq Museum; go hiking through the rugged, unspoilt landscapes; or travel a short distance across the fjord to uncover the breathtaking Flower Valley. Cruising Angmagssalik Fjord The spectacularly rugged Angmagssalik Fjord in southeastern Greenland is shrouded by steep mountains emerging from the ice-filled sea. Cruising through is the only way to truly appreciate these wondrous landscapes.
