Venture to the medieval Conception Castle, overlooking the stunning natural harbour; discover the incredible Roman amphitheatre – built between 5 and 1 BC; and admire the many Modernist buildings populating the city. Lisbon, Portugal Portugal’s alluring capital is spread out over seven hills on the north of the River Tagus, with fascinating museums and the adorable backstreets of the Alfama district awaiting your discovery.
