Once you’ve sailed with us, you’ll become a member of our
Oceans Loyalty Club and you’ll be awarded one point for every
night you spend on board. Oceans Club membership offers a
range of benefits, such as 5% discount on cruise prices and
special discounts in a variety of retail stores, restaurants and
nationwide tourist attractions. The rewards increase with every
membership level, so the more you cruise with Fred. Olsen, the
more benefits you can enjoy. Of course, there are some
membership terms and conditions. We’ll send all the information
directly to you when you join.
PASSPORTS & VISAS
As you might expect, all guests must be in possession of a full
passport, valid for a minimum of six months after the final day
of the cruise. It should contain several blank pages for the
placement of any required country entry stamps. Immigration
authorities also require that your passport is not damaged and
that no pages are missing.
Passport and visa requirements can change at any time. While it
is the guest’s responsibility to obtain details of any mandatory
visa requirements, we can provide some information, for British
citizens, at the time of booking. See page 177 for more information.
PAYING ON BOARD
The currency on board is Sterling. We operate a credit account
system on board, allowing bar drinks, wines in the restaurants,
laundry charges, Shore Tour and RIB Tour bookings, shop
purchases, medical expenses and any other incidental expenses
to be automatically charged to your account. You will be required
to register a debit or credit card at check-in, against which your
on board account is charged.
On board accounts may be settled in cash, however, a debit
or credit card must still be registered to open your on board
account. Diners Club, MasterCard and Visa credit cards are
accepted. We also accept Visa debit cards, but regret we are
unable to accept American Express, Solo, Electron, travel agent
debit cards or travellers’ cheques or cards. (Selected travellers’
cheques are accepted; please ask for more information before
To ensure a safe and secure environment for our guests and
crew, there are strict regulations regarding items that may be
considered to be an offensive weapon (in particular, knives,
including skean dhus with a blade of over 7cm). Any such item
found will be confiscated. In addition, any alcohol brought from
ashore (and any found at embarkation) must be handed to a
security crew member for safe storage until the end of your
cruise. Should you have any concerns about items that are
prohibited, see our website.
Our RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boats) divert away from the regular
tourist trails to reach narrow waterways and natural wonders,
getting you even closer to your destinations. Visit the Destination
Services (Tours) desk once on board to see the RIB Tours that are
available for your cruise. All RIB Tours are subject to availability
and service operation.
A room service menu, offering light snacks, operates between
10:00 and 22:00 each day (except during embarkation and
disembarkation). Beverages are available 24 hours a day. Your
menu will be found in your Cabin A-Z folder.
To ensure the comfort and safety of all guests and crew, we reserve
the right to disembark anyone failing to comply with our on board
policies. We know that many of you would like friends and family to
join you on board prior to sailing but, for security reasons, no
visitors are allowed beyond Security, either in the UK or abroad.

SHOPPING ON BOARD
The ships’ boutiques offer a wide range of products, including
jewellery, perfumes and eveningwear. The shop stocks many
essentials, such as sun cream and toiletries, as well as souvenirs.
In addition, Flower Shops have been introduced on Balmoral,
Black Watch and Boudicca, offering colourful year-round and
seasonal flowers, as well as beautiful ready-made bouquets. The
shops will be closed in certain ports due to customs regulations.
Cigarettes, cigars and alcohol are available for you to take home
at tax-free prices via the Cabin Shopping Service. An order form
and price list will be in your cabin. Simply complete the form,
hand it to your Stewardess or to Guest Services two days prior to
the end of your cruise, and your order will be delivered to your
cabin on the last day of your stay. It is your responsibility to
observe customs regulations.
Where shuttle buses are provided, they will be free of charge for
guests booked on Freedom Fares, and chargeable for guests
booked on Saver Fares.
Smoking (including electronic cigarettes) is not permitted in
any inside deck area. Smoking is only permitted on designated
open-deck locations and on cabin balconies, with the exception
of Terrace Balconies (grades TS, TC and TK).
Those who travel solo need never be alone as Fred. Olsen has the
reputation of operating the friendliest cruise ships afloat. The
crew will be waiting to greet you from the moment you arrive,
and special activities will be arranged throughout your holiday,
giving you the opportunity to meet with fellow guests if you wish.
SPA & SALON
Each Fred. Olsen ship has a well-equipped beauty salon and spa.
The Atlantis Spa is open from 08:00 to 20:00 daily, offering a
range of beauty and relaxation treatments. These include
massages, facials, manicures, pedicures and hairdressing.
Demand for treatments is always high, so we advise pre-booking
via our website, or as soon as possible once you’re on board.
