Our four ocean ships have a small gaming area, where you can try
your hand at Blackjack and Roulette. These games of chance are
cash only and may not be charged back to your cabin account.
Our dedicated gin menu features 18 varieties to pair with your
choice of Fever-Tree tonic or alternative mixer. Gin Masterclasses
are available on selected cruises on Balmoral and Black Watch for
a small fee. During these sessions you’ll enjoy tastings as well as
creating a 70cl bottle of your own hand crafted gin to take home.
If you’re a member of a club, association or corporate group,
or you have friends or family looking to see the world together,
you’ll find our smaller, friendlier ships ideal for group travel. Very
large groups can even have exclusive use of one of our fleet with
a ‘full ship group’ booking.
Travel with a group and you can enjoy a choice of added value
benefits (on request and subject to availability and operational
approval). What’s more, if you achieve an agreed group passenger
target – usually between 15 and 25 guests, depending on the
itinerary – we will give you a free cruise place* as the group
leader. We can also offer reduced rates to partners of group
leaders wishing to share the same cabin.
Our multi-award-winning Group Sales Team can guide you
through every stage of holiday planning and tailor everything
to match your individual requirements. For more information,
call the team on 01473 746 169 (09:00-17:00 Mon-Fri)
or email email@example.com.
*The free place is not allocated until the guest target has been achieved, and is a free berth
not a free cabin; the target excludes 3rd/4th guests sharing. Free place Terms & Conditions
GUEST SPEAKERS & PORT TALKS
On each cruise there are talks or lectures from leading experts.
These cover a wide variety of subjects and many are relevant to
the specific destination, region and/or theme of the cruise. Our
knowledgeable port lecturers will share a wealth of information
for your venturing ashore in each port too.
HEALTH AND HYGIENE
While we will advise you of any mandatory vaccination
requirements for your chosen cruise, health regulations are
ever-changing. We strongly recommend you consult with your
GP or local medical centre at least 12 weeks before departure. In
addition, general travel advice is available from the UK government
website www.gov.uk/browse/abroad. To ensure the well-being of
all on board, we ask that you to pay close attention to personal
hygiene, particularly with vigorous hand-washing with soap and
the additional use of the hand sanitisers found around the vessels.
Available in selected venues across all our ocean ships, our
menus offer a selection of delicious ice-creams and sundaes
– a tasty treat no matter where you are in the world.
A laundry and cleaning service is available on board, charged at
£12 per bag. All ships also offer a self-service Laundry Room
complete with washing machines, tumble dryers and irons.
Machine tokens are available at Guest Services, charged at £2.
All vessels have a well-appointed, free-to-use library.
If you are sailing from a UK port, 200lb (90kg) of luggage is
allowed. For safety reasons, no one piece should weigh more than
20kg. On fly-cruises, your allowance is subject to the conditions
imposed by the air carrier and will vary from airline to airline. On
scheduled air services, the free luggage allowance in Economy
Class is normally 20kg. You will be advised of your allowance(s)
prior to your fly-cruise. Excess luggage charges apply. Please
check when booking and on receipt of your holiday tickets.
Travel documents, valuables, fragile items and any medication for
your journey should always be packed in your hand luggage. You
must carry on your dress/suit carriers as hand luggage to avoid
any damage passing through the cabin luggage scanners.
For your comfort, all ships have a Medical Centre offering primary
and emergency care. There will be a doctor and/or nurse on call at
all times (there are two qualified nurses on each ship). With the
centres operating outside of British and European health services,
charges are levied for consultations, investigations, prescriptions and
cabin visits. A scale of charges is displayed in each Medical Centre,
and any incurred charges will be added to your on board account.
‘NEW TO CRUISING’ PROGRAMME
If you’re new to cruising with Fred. Olsen, we can offer you a
programme to ensure you can relax from the moment you step on
board. We’ll organise get-togethers with fellow first-time cruisers
and our helpful ‘New to Cruising’ representatives will be on hand to
answer questions and offer advice at selected times every day,
whether you’re travelling near or far. You can even join a guided ship
tour to familiarise yourself with your new ‘home-from-home at sea’.
To register, visit our website or advise our Guest Services Department
at least 72 hours prior to your UK departure. This programme is not
available on Short Breaks (cruises of four nights or fewer).
